about us

Mountain Air and Heating was established in 1996 by Jim Gunter. Jim had many years as a business owner starting with a partnership in Northeast Georgia Heating and Air in Rabun County.

In 2008, Gregg Singer and his wife, Jere, purchased the company in hopes of continuing the great reputation Mountain Air and Heating has enjoyed, while bringing the company into the 21st Century with the addition of computerized accounting and even better customer service.

Gregg Singer was born in Toccoa and grew up in Clarkesville. He graduated from Habersham Central and later attended North Georgia Technical College graduating from their HVAC program in 1992. He worked for Lawson's Heating and Air Condition Company in Gainesville for several years, servicing residential and large commercial units.

In 1995, he went to work for C.C. Dickson Company in Toccoa. Working in wholesale supply gave him a different perspective of the business. He continued to work HVAC jobs until he moved to Florida in 2004. While living in Florida, Gregg worked for a top-notch Trane dealer named Rod Facemyer, who taught him how to run a business. The experience he garnered from Mr.
Facemyer along with attending Trane's Boot Camp, gave him all the skills he needed to become an HVAC business owner.

After working for Jim Gunter for 3 years, Gregg was able to buy the company, allowing Jim to retire.

Gregg, his wife, Jere, and his mother, Kathy, along with an excellent service/sales force are here to help their customers stay comfortable!

"Through all the seasons trust Mountain Air and Heating to keep you comfortable"
